“I can think of no argument in favour of “owning” land. Surely the land is a resource for us all, to be used responsibly, or left wild for other creatures. I understand that some land should be used by custodians, to provide food for the worlds over large population, but even this land should be left in such a state as to be able to return to wildness later. When someone builds a nucleur power plant, polluting factory etc they do it on our land, our childrens land, and whats more they never clean up properly afterwards.
I live on an acre of land, and I have cleared out buckets full of broken glass and dead batteries left by former “owners”, and I expect future ones will dump more junk. Whilst I live here my aim is to give nature a helping hand, whilst supplimenting my food needs.
